When people book with us, one of the most common questions is whether they need a full detail or just the interior. And here's something you don't always hear from a detailer — you don't always need the most expensive option. We'd rather tell you straight and have you come back than upsell you on stuff you don't need. So here's how we actually think about it.
Go with an Interior Detail when...
The outside of your car is basically fine but the inside is where the mess lives. This is the right call if:
- ·Your exterior still looks decent and you keep it washed
- ·The real problem is inside — crumbs, dirt, pet hair, spills, that lived-in smell
- ·You've got kids or pets making the interior the battleground
- ·You just want the inside to feel fresh and reset
Most daily drivers around here fall into this category more often than they think. If your paint's okay and it's the inside driving you crazy, save your money and just get the interior done.
Go with a Full Detail when...
Both the inside and outside need attention, or you want a complete reset. This is the right call if:
- ·The exterior is dull, dusty, covered in that Pueblo film, or hasn't been properly washed in a while
- ·You're trying to protect or restore the paint, not just clean it
- ·You're getting the car ready to sell and want it showing its absolute best
- ·It's a seasonal reset — coming out of winter or heading into it
- ·It's just been a long time and the whole car needs love
A full detail is the move when you want the car to feel brand new top to bottom, not just clean inside.
When we'll tell you to do exterior only
Less common, but real — if your interior is genuinely well kept and it's just the outside that's taken a beating from sun and dust, exterior alone makes sense. No reason to pay for interior work you don't need.
How we figure it out with you
When you book, we ask about your vehicle and its condition, and honestly a couple quick photos tell us most of what we need. From there we'll tell you what we'd actually recommend — not what costs the most. Sometimes that's the full detail, sometimes it's just the interior, sometimes we tell you that you don't need as much as you thought.
That's kind of the whole point of how we do things. We'd rather be straight with you and earn a regular customer than squeeze one big job out of you and never see you again.
